Safety information
This device is a radioactive device. lt shall be operated in strict accordance with the User Manual. lt is not allowed to use it for purposes other than medical radioscopy and radiography. lmproper operation may lead to damage of this device. This device can be used only by trained personnel who have essential knowledge about radiography. No persons or obstacles shall stay or exit in the range of mechanical motion of this device. This is to avoid collision with or damage of this device or personal injury. After this device is positioned, all brake handles (including brakes for translation, circular movement, rotation, swinging, and complete machine pushing) shall be locked.
The potential side effects of the PLX118F are related to X-ray radiation. There are mainly two types of side-effects of X-ray radiation:
l Deterministic effects: acute exposure to high levels of radiation may result in skin injury, tissue necrosis
l Stochastic effects: long-term health effects years and decades into future due to cumulative exposure to X-ray radiation, such as increase in DNA mutations, cataract formation and cancer incidence.
The X-ray radiation dose of the PLX118F is low which aims to limit the possibility of collateral side effects. When used as intended under medical supervision of a qualified radiographer, it is not likely anticipated to result in unforeseeable or observable side-effects.
Be sure to take precautions from X-ray before each exposure. Reduce the time in exposure room as much as possible. During operation, the operator should take necessary measures to protect against radiation: use protective devices, wear x-ray protective coats, and take radiography in the significant zone of occupancy to reduce radiation to the minimum.
Hand controller on C-arm stand controls the mechanical and collimator movement, improves your work flow even you are away from the unit
